IIM Bangalore’s Website Hacked (By Viagra Selling Companies)

IIM Bangalore’s website has been hacked by viagra selling companies and it’s been almost a week that the site has been hacked. As per Google cache, here is the snapshot of the page as it appeared on April 12th.

iimb hack

In the past, we have noticed Indians and Pakistani hackers poking each other (CBI website was hacked after Indian hackers hacked Pak government sites), but an educational institution’s website being hacked by a viagra selling site is a different matter altogether.

Given how Indian organizations react to hacking of websites (and the timeline they take to react), is there is an opportunity for ethical hackers to create an organization ensuring safety of these sites (i.e. outsourced security)?

What’s your take?
