The partnership will see a huge step in Indonesia’s mobile commerce space, where payments will come to mobile now, effectively opening up a new channel for companies to connect with their customers. Earlier this week, during the PropertyGuru press conference, Bambos Kaisharis, Head of Consumer Goods, Southeast Asia at Google revealed that in Indonesia, 1 out of 4 internet queries (23%) comes from mobile, and is growing at a steady rate. With the PT Number One-Tyfone partnership, we are definitely going to see that figure increase.
