Two months after their initial launch, specialized healthcare portal DoctorPage.sg receives funding from renowned international e-commerce investors.
DoctorPage aims to connect patients with doctors across Southeast Asia. Founded by Max-F. Scheichenost, DoctorPage aims to be the number one eHealth player in Southeast Asia. Mr. Scheichenost was also the cofounder of DailyDeal, which was acquired by Google Inc. in September 2011. On top of that, as the founder and Managing Partner of Alps Ventures, an Austrian based investment company, his experience extends into the venture capitalist industry, as well.
DoctorPage included their impressive lineup of investors in their official announcement. They include Michael Brehm, founder and managing director of leading daily deal holdings Rebate Networks, Damian Doberstein, co-founder of Russia’s largest e-commerce company, KupiVIP, Christian Gaiser, founder of KaufDa (acquired by Axel Springer AG in 2011), and Tim Marbach, founder of KaufDa and Business Angel, Alps Ventures, as well as other prominent investors from Singapore.
Will the business model work? Investor Michael Brehm is definitely betting on it.

DoctorPage did not reveal the number of doctors on their system. Likewise, the amount of funding is undisclosed Another thing to note, Max-F. is also the managing partner of Alps Ventures, which is part of the investors lineup into DoctorPage.
On top of the the web app, DoctorPage has a mobile version for the iOS platform, which works on the iPhone and iPad. An Android version is in the works.

Damian Doberstein is Co-Founder of Russia’s largest e-commerce company, KupiVIP.
Christian Gaiser is the Founder of KaufDa, (acquired by Axel Springer AG in 2011) and CEO and Founder of Bonial International Group, the largest network for location-based shopping information worldwide.
Tim Marbach, Founder of KaufDa and Business Angel, Value Invest, a venture fund that specializes in e-commerce, Alps Ventures, as well as other prominent investors from Singapore.
DoctorPage is founded in June 2012 in Singapore by Max-F. Scheichenost, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr Dawn Soo, Co-Founder and Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Daniel Endres, Chief Operating Officer (COO). Doctorpage.sg improves healthcare access across Asia by providing a user-friendly platform that enables patients to search and book appointments with their preferred healthcare providers in a few simple clicks. A complementary customer relationship management system (CRM) is provided to the healthcare professionals to help optimize patient flow and clinic efficiencies.
DoctorPage recently released a new version of its iOS and iPad app which is available for download on iTunes and is currently working on its android app. Mr Scheichenost was the co-founder of DailyDeal (acquired by Google Inc. in September 2011), and Founder and Managing Partner of Alps Ventures, an Austrian based investment company.
Dr Soo is a medical physician by training with clinical experience in both the public and private healthcare sectors in Singapore. She recently graduated with an MBA from top-tier business school, INSEAD.
