Intuit Money Manager, the personal finance management tool launched by Nasdaq listed Intuit Inc and India’s Web 18 in 2009 is shutting down on February 28, according to a notice on their website.
The service, offered through Web 18′s financial portal MoneyControl was part of a three year partnership between Intuit and Web18 that began in 2009.
For people already using Money Manager, the company is offering a refund on a prorated basis. You can also import your data form the money manager to your computer. More FAQ here. In July 2012, Intuit launched its accounting software, QuickBooks in India. QuickBooks Online helps SMEs organise their finances and keep track of all activities related to your business.
Looks like not too many personal finance tools and aggregators have been able to survive in India. What is it with them? Do Indians find it difficult to use such tools?
