[Infographic] LinkedIn reaches 200M members, Indonesia as third fastest growing country

LinkedIn reaches 200 million members, ranks as the 23rd most visited website in the world by comScore.

LinkedIn today announced that it has crossed the 200 million members mark, adding on average two new members every second of the day. The company saw an addition of over 13 million members since November 1st last year. With representation in more than 200 countries, the professional social network serves members in 19 languages around the world.

Today, LinkedIn sees over 160 million unique monthly visitors and, according to comScore, is the 23rd more visited website in the world. 64 percent of LinkedIn members are located outside the US with over 37 million members in the Asia Pacific region.

The five top countries with the most members are the US with 74 million, UK  and Brazil with 11 million each, India with 18 million and Canada with seven million. The fastest growing countries are Turkey, Colombia, and Indonesia. China leads LinkedIn’s mobile growth with Brazil, Portugal, India and Italy following.

Of LinkedIn’s members, four million of them fall under the Information Technology and Services industry. This is followed by just over two million in Financial Services. Higher Education, Computer Software and Telecommunications make up the top five list of largest industries.
