One more month to enter your startup for a chance to pitch at Echelon 2013 Satellites and Echelon 2013!
Good news! Due to an overwhelming response from startups all over Southeast Asia, e27 has decided to extend the call for startups to 28 February 2013. This is a chance to pitch at Echelon 2013 Satellites and the Echelon 2013 conference that will be happening on 17 – 18 June 2013.
The positive response from startups that have already submitted their entries, and feedback from startups that needed more time to put together their proposals, prompted the Echelon 2013 organizers, tech site, e27.sg to extend the call for entries.
e27 hopes the extension gives a greater opportunity for startups in Asia to pitch their startups at Echelon 2013 by pushing the submission deadline about a month before the first Satellite event. This will allow selected startups sufficient time to prepare for the first Satellite event.
The Echelon 2013 Satellites will take place in major cities in Asia from the end of March all the way to April. From the submissions, the organizers and a judging panel will select the most promising startups to pitch at one of the Satellites. From the Satellite pitches, 10 startups will be invited to pitch at Echelon 2013 to a panel of top investors and successful entrepreneurs and one winner will go on to be the Echelon 2013 champion. Previous Echelon winners include Builk (2012); PlayMoolah (2011) and Foound (2010)
For startups not pitching at the main conference, the opportunity to interact with some of the startup industry’s foremost leaders and investors happens at Startup Marketplace, an exhibition space that featured 50 startups from across Asia in 2012.
