Get2Volume and Tata Elxsi have partnered to provide access to resources, network and funding to startups in Singapore and India.
“Technology companies are global from day one,” says Get2Volume CEO Mike Holt, which is why the Singapore-based startup accelerator has partnered with India’s Tata Elxsi to provide access to resources and opportunities to startups across Singapore and India. The partnership will involve extending the two firms’ incubation offerings and connections to startups in each other’s portfolios.
Get2Volume co-invests with the Singapore National Research Foundation, and helps microelectornics-centric startups with seed funding, networking and mentorship. The firm has recently invested in green-energy, health and e-commerce related firms in Singapore, which have a potential for a global market. G2V will extend incubation offerings to Tata Elxsi companies from India that wish to gain access to the ecosystem within Singapore. G2V will also extend funding opportunities to companies that meet its criteria.
Tata Elxsi is a design company that blends technology, creativity and engineering, and is part of the US$100 billion Tata Group. Tata Elxsi is involved in communications, consumer products, defense, healthcare, media & entertainment, semiconductor and transportation sectors and is staffed by over 4,000 employees and a network of design studios. The company has core focus on embedded product design, industrial design, animation & visual effects and systems integration.
Tata Elxsi has recently launched its Incub@te, an incubation program that nurtures and supports aspiring entrepreneurs. Incub@te provides a platform for startups and prospective entrepreneurs to convert their ideas into commercially viable products or services. This is done through the provision of ready-to-use infrastructure, key technical consulting through in-house experts, mentorship, access to service providers, plug-n-play office and connections within the local ecosystem. The company has opened its Incub@te program to Singapore companies that wish to build their business in India, offering access to infrastructure, mentorship and go-to-market support.
“Working together with Tata Elxsi, we bring our companies global growth and execution capabilities,” Holt said in a statement. “This partnership provides portfolio companies with access to capital, connections and complementary capability,” added Tata Elxsi vice president for strategic initiatives Rajesh Kumar.
