Singapore-based ImpulseFlyer, a VIP membership online luxury travel site, has just announced its second tranche of seed funding from Neoteny Labs and a few other private investors.
Founded back in 2011, ImpulseFlyer is run by CEO Steven Gong alongside Andy Croll and Desiree Oh. The exclusive online luxury travel site has just announced its second round of funding from its investor Neoteny Labs and a few other private investors. The funding round in closed in December 2012. The total amount is undisclosed.
On top of the funding announcement, ImpulseFlyer has launched a collection of luxury and boutique hotels bookable by its member all year round. With a selection of the hotels and resorts in the Asia Pacific region, ImpulseFlyer plans to offer over 100 properties in the ImpulseFlyer Collection by the end of the quarter.

ImpulseFlyer has also introduced VIP membership for its members‐only site. For its VIP members, ImpulseFlyer offers exclusive access to perks and benefits at the stunning properties in the Collection and also private flash sales. To obtain VIP membership, ImpulseFlyer members must either make a booking at one of the Collection hotels or be invited to the site by an existing VIP member.
“At ImpulseFlyer we help connect the most discerning travellers in the region with hand‐picked luxury hotels and resorts in the region. With a focus on curating only the most amazing hotels, we take out the research and guess work needed by luxury travellers when deciding where they want to stay on holiday, at the same time giving hotels reach to their target market,” said CEO Steven Gong.
When asked the total number of members ImpulseFlyer has, Steven declined to share more, but said that most of their members are from Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.
